The Open is one of Australia's
biggest and most important tournaments of the year.
The event takes place at the Poimena Reserve in Tasmania.
Poimena was the first
disc golf course in Australia (c1984) and so there is
deep affection and respect for this course, especially
from those who have been playing disc golf long enough
to remember!
Australian disc golf
and frisbee legend, Leigh Bird, has been running tournaments
at Poimena every year since the birth of the course.
This year is no exception and Leigh welcomes players
(and spectators) of all ages and ability levels - rookies,
beginner, intermediate and pros alike.
The nation's leading
disc golfers will be travelling from far and wide to
be a part of this year's Australian Open.
